While making good use of the internet can help millions of people
With internet access, the quality of healthcare in Africa will increase
"The major part of population in Africa lives in rural areas, where there are less doctors and even fewer specialists. Updating professional skills and getting consultations for more complex or rare medical problems have been almost impossible. But since Internet revolution the possibilities have exploded and rural hospitals can have access to medical knowledge and colleagues around the world." - Cordaid
In 2010, a project called "TELEMEDICINE IN TANZANIA" has innovated 40 health care institutions and has trained 26 healthcare staff members.

The internet knows everything
Why would you wait until a teacher is going to explain the things you want to know? You can just Google it! Or Bing it (if you'd prefer that).
The internet is a great place to learn whatever you want. Or to be inspired!
We shouldn't only educate ourselves though. We should help to educate others to. UNESCO is working on education for the 21st Century.
How to help people for free?
You can help people from all over the world, just with one mouse click. Donate mouse clicks to help a child in need or to purify 5 liters of water.. It's free.

"Through the ages, farmers have used indigenous knowledge and traditional coping strategies to adapt to changes in weather and climatic conditions. Now, increasingly erratic climate variability is making it difficult for farmers to keep up." - CCAFS
Local farms highly dependent on the weather condition on a particular day. Hence a weather forecast is of much use to farmers!
It can help them to save them time and money, or even make more money. But they don't have a fancy android or iOS app/widget that informs them about the weather..
CCAFS has an interesting article on climate services for smallholder farmers. Read the article!
The people who need the internet the most can't use it at all
